Dog Training Fields

At Quail Covey Run, we have dedicated 30 acres of our farm to provide trainers with fields to train their dogs. The fields are covered with native grasses and manicured to provide light, medium, and heavy cover. Pathways have been created to allow for easy access.

The entire 30-acre field can be booked for $30/hr. Only one set of trainers are allowed on the property at a time to prevent distraction and ensure safety. The fields are for training only- not hunting. Pending the time of the season, we have the ability to supply trainers with live quail, fresh-dead quail, and remote control launchers. Fresh Dead Bobwhites

Fresh dead bobwhite quail are kept on-hand for training purposes and can be purchased for $3.00/quail. These bobwhites are frozen immediately after they perish, completely intact.

Flight Conditioned Quail

Live flight conditioned quail are available for use between the months of July and February. Pricing for live quail varies on the time of season and range from $6.50-$7.25 per bird. Release carriers are available.

Quail Launchers

Quail launchers can be rented for $10/hr. We have 5 Dogtra launchers available. These launchers are already programmed and come with a remote control. 24 hrs notice of use is required so they can be charged.
